Culture, leadership, and sustainability are closely connected in how we build our companies. But it is in everyday actions, in how we act as employees, that these values truly take shape.
At Stretch, we have grown organically over time, building companies with a clear direction, strong offerings, and a culture that last. For us, sustainable entrepreneurship is not only about structure and leadership. It is equally about the kind of employee mindset we cultivate.
In an entrepreneurial environment, where responsibility, initiative, and proximity to the business are central, it is not about everyone having to be entrepreneurial. Rather, it is about wanting to contribute, taking ownership, and being part of a context where both people and the business can grow together.
I am sometimes asked in interviews: what does entrepreneurship at Stretch really look like in practice?
My answer is usually quite simple: it is embedded in everything we do.
It may start with an idea that develops into a successful company. It may be a consultant who identifies an opportunity and builds a new team, or individuals who, through curiosity and accountability, grow into new roles and help develop our companies together with others.
What unites these examples is not a specific role or title. It is the employee mindset. The willingness to contribute, develop, and take responsibility for more than just your own tasks.
This is also reflected in the way we engage with people who are curious about becoming part of Stretch.
For us, the recruitment process is not only about finding the right competence. It is a first introduction to the way we work and what we stand for as a group.
We place great importance on personal interaction, clear communication and long-term relationships. Regardless of which Stretch company someone meets, they should be able to sense our mindset—the desire to contribute, make an impact, and help develop both the business, our clients, and their own professional journey.
At Stretch, you become visible. Early on.
For many, that is exactly what creates energy. Having the opportunity to contribute, being listened to, and feeling that their work truly matters. It is a driving force within our organization that often becomes apparent from the very first conversations and helps us identify the people who genuinely thrive in our environment.
At the same time, our process is clear and well established. It helps us maintain consistent quality and ensures that the Stretch experience remains the same, regardless of which company within the Stretch Group someone meets.
For me, this is one of the most meaningful aspects of my work. Being able to witness ideas becoming companies, people growing into new roles, and teams taking shape over time. It is something that brings me joy every single day.
In the end, it is not only about the companies we build.
It is about how we build them. Together.
