Stretch Optimize AS

Are you investing in new tech, but your people, processes and business aren’t keeping up?
Even with strategies and systems in place, many companies fall short of their goals.
At Stretch Optimize, we help clients reach the next level – from intention to implementation, from solution to deployment, and from project to operation. Our objective is to enable people, processes, and technology to work together effectively, thus ensuring that value is realised every day.
We translate strategy into operational measures, prioritise wisely and make the complex process manageable with our consulting specialists in Project Management, Process Management and Change Management.
Creating value in complex transformations
This is what we offer

Project Management
It’s usually not the technology that causes problems, but unclear decisions, weak ownership and the absence of discernible gains.
- Decisions based on facts, targets and a clear plan for tangible results
- Hybrid Management using PRINCE2, Project Guide and an agile mindset that balances quality, time and cost
- Cross-functional links between Process Management and Change Management that minimize surprises, accelerate user acceptance and contribute to lasting gains
Our Project Managers bridge the gap between technology and business, leading user-centric change from concept to success with clear leadership, progress and a confident transition to long-term governance.

Process Management
For most businesses, the challenge lies not in drawing process maps, but in getting process owners, standardisation and compliance to successfully mesh in practice.
- No one-size-fits-all solution. We begin where you are and adapt to your organisation’s maturity, complexity and objectives
- We deploy an end-to-end process mapping approach that eliminates bottlenecks and puts the user at the centre
- We help you accelerate implementation, increase user acceptance and achieve desired results with cross-functional links between Project Management and Change Management
Our Process Managers combine Lean and Design Thinking, taking account of the maturity and complexity of the business, as well as the people involved, so that the processes become feasible, viable and sustainable.

Change Management
Technology is not the barrier to change. The real challenges are lack of engagement, ownership, and follow-up within management and governance.
Our advisory services leverage Change Management to build managerial competence, increase organisational capacity, and ensure technology delivers real benefits. We offer advice, workshops, coaching and consulting services tailored to your specific needs.
- Change Management – Prepare, lead and hand over

- Training – Identify needs, plan and evaluate

What distinguishes Change Management from Project Management?
Management is a broad topic encompassing several disciplines. Project Management and Change Management are two of them. Both Project Management and Change Management aim to tackle a challenge or seize an opportunity. The goal is to lead a process from the current situation, through a transition phase, to a desired future with the benefits set out for the organisation.
Project Management focuses on the technical side of change, such as designing, developing and implementing a solution to a problem or seizing an opportunity. Change Management, on the other hand, focuses on getting on board those affected by the changes. This is done by engaging and supporting people and ensuring that they are ready to embrace the new reality.
When should both Project Management and Change Management be applied?
If the initiative is to save electricity and install motion-activated lights in meeting rooms, then the answer is that no one (0%) needs to change the way they work.
However, if the initiative is to install recycling and waste bins in the office, we must involve all employees. This means that up to 100% will have to change the way they dispose of their waste.
“Good Change Management increases the likelihood of success sevenfold, i.e. achieving the goal of the initiative within or on time and on budget.” ©Prosci Inc.
This is a key question for all initiatives:
How much of the expected gains depend on implementation and usage?
Leadership, Project Management and Change Management are all essential for success.
A good sponsor is the most important contributor to success. Management and sponsors represent the direction and purpose of a project or initiative. They define why the change is happening (and why now), how it fits the overall business strategy, and why it’s a priority.
Without leadership and sponsorship, the project will struggle to remain a priority and will not have the engagement and support required to succeed.
Without effective Project Management for the technical side of the change, the initiative will not deliver the solution needed.
Without a robust human-centred Change Management strategy, people will not embrace the solution, obstructing desired outcomes.
